Every Sunday @ 10:00am (except on the 5th Sundays of the month - see below)
Bring together a whole bunch of laid back people around some coffee, donuts, great music, round tables, conversation, practical teaching - throw in a mess of kids - and that's what you'll experience when you join us for a worship gathering: a bit of organized chaos. We're not interested in being hip, cool or attractional... We're interested in real relationships, strong scriptural teaching and real transformation for our whole family. For this reason, we won't choke you out with smoke machines or 'wow' you with glitzy performances and famous celebraties who want to share their testimony.
What you might find attractive, however, is our "what you see is what you get" approach to things - and what you'll see is an accessible community of broken and forgiven Jesus followers who have a genuine desire to be filled with heaven's gifts and who want to learn better how to follow Jesus as a result of those gifts. You might also enjoy an environment where kids are not only tolerated, but welcomed and loved and intentionally integrated into the whole gathering.
For us, Sunday morning gatherings are not the main event of our faith life together. Rather, worship gatherings are the fuel stops that fill us with what we need in order to continue to engage in the real main event of our faith: everyday living as a disciple. Consequently, our teaching is not dumbed down but is raw and challenging. We don't put white gloves on to talk about difficult things and we dip deeply into the well of God's mercy and truth together.
If that sounds like something that will benefit your walk of faith (not become your walk of faith), then join us anytime.
5th Sunday Scattering - Every 5th Sunday of the month throughout the year
The church lives out its identity in two ways: Gathered and Scattered. When we come together as a community, large or small, around the Word, the Lord's Supper or any of the gifts that God gives us, we are the Gathered Church. When we are released to live out the tangible expression of these gifts in our local community contexts, we the Scattered Church. We are always meant to keep a balance between the two expressions of who we are. We use the 5th Sunday of any given month to practice the Scattered nature of our identity - sometimes we prayer walk our community, other times we serve together in some capacity within the community, and then other times we get together with neighbors or friends to build relationships. The point is, we want to be just as intentional about being the Scattered Church as we are about being the Gathered Church.
Join us at our normal time and location - 10am @ Wilson Creek - to gather in a simple, casual way before we scatter out into our missional plans for the day.
